Longcliffe Golf Club - Early Season Winter Warmer

Established in 1906, Longcliffe Golf Course is carved out of the ancient Charnwood Forest. Mature trees separate most holes, heather and gorse reflect their heath land character, the finely cut fairways and the small deceptive greens run fast and true.

Willesley Park Golf Club Memorial Trophy

Winding its way through 230 acres of gentle undulating Leicestershire countryside, Willesley Park Golf Club in Ashby de la Zouch is the stunning setting for one of the midlands’ premier golfing venues. First opened in 1920. 

Coxmoor Golf Club Bennion Trophy

Friday 16th May 2025

Coxmoor is a Championship Course having staged Regional Qualifying for the Open Championship. 6,700 yards with a par set at 73 including five par fives. There are also some very testing holes and probably the toughest include the 5th and the 12th. 

Lingdale Golf Club Captains Trophy

Excellent golf course which challenges golfers of all abilities with spectacular views, stunning scenery and wildlife, described by many as the best golf course setting in the County. Peter Aliss described the course as a “hidden gem within the Midlands”and Tony Jacklin, winning Ryder Cup Captain during a visit in 1989 said it has ‘probably the toughest opening three holes in the Midlands’.

Peterborough Milton Golf Club Claret Jug

A James Braid designed course, opened in 1938 and situated on a par 71 parkland course. It is set in the impressive grounds of the Fitzwilliam Estate, offering stunning views of Milton Hall. Many of the holes are surrounded by a wide variety of trees. 

Footnote: – Milton Hall is the largest private house in Cambridgeshire, the estate passed to Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland, 4th Baronet in 1995. The Hall was used by the military during both world wars During the Second World War, part of the house and the stable block were occupied by the Czechoslovakian army and later Special Operations Executive who trained in the grounds and woods prior to being dropped by parachute behind enemy lines in France in the days leading up to the Normandy landings

Rutland Water Golf Club Mudd Rose Bowl

This 18-hole Championship Course with its breathtaking views over Rutland Water has a yardage of 6221 off the yellows and challenging undulating greens it is a good test of skill for the lowest handicapper with a pleasant atmosphere. 

Birstall Golf Club Autumn Salver

Established in 1901 Birstall Golf Club is 6239 yards long with a par of 70 providing a fair and exciting challenge to the golfer. There are superb greens and fairways with some very challenging tree-lined holes on a layout which is fairly easy to walk. 

Charnwood Forest Golf Club Captain V's Vice-Captain Ryder Cup Format

Charnwood Forest is the oldest Golf Club in Leicestershire. Opened in 1890, and with a design that was later influenced by James Braid, a superb 9-Hole heathland course was created to make full use of the natural environment in this particularly beautiful part of the Leicestershire countryside.

Captain Paul Carvell’s team verses Vice-Captain Pete Chapman’s team. Foursomes over nine holes a.m. Singles over nine holes from 01:30 p.m.

Wollaton Park Golf Club Winter Warmer

Set in over 500 acres of Wollaton Park, the course is overlooked by the imposing 16th century Wollaton Hall. Parkland in character. It is pleasantly undulating and winds its way through historic woodland which incorporates many fine specimens of trees.
